JAN BRENNER
When Jan Brenner arrived on the music scene in Honolulu, she was already a seasoned performer. Opening for the Beach Boys, Tom Jones and Gregory Hines, singing full time on the road since she was eighteen, Jan had already “been there, done that” at a tender age.

But arriving in Honolulu felt different...it stopped her in her touring tracks and welcomed her to the island way of life. The spectacular Sheraton Waikiki became her showcase for years. She also shared her musical talents and sparkling personality at hundreds of weddings, parties, national conventions and local charity functions.

Later, she purchased her own theme party, entertainment and event producing business. Because of her strong community commitment, she naturally gravitated to producing charity events as a part of her business. She successfully produced many of Hawaii’s biggest community fundraisers including the Honolulu International Bed Race Festival, the American Diabetes Association Walk and the “Grand Festival of Lights” Christmas Pageant. Perhaps Jan’s community involvement has been most visible co-hosting the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon on local television annually since 1983.

The hard work on the business paid off and Star Theme Partys, Inc. flourished over the years. However, as her business grew, her spiritual life also expanded becoming the focal point of her life. In 2000, Jan proudly served as valedictorian of her class at Honolulu’s Leadership Bible Institute (LBI) under the direction of Pastor Art Sepulveda. As her years of Christian studies at LBI opened her eyes, mind and heart, she increasingly felt the need to get back to her first love, music. And that is what led her to create her album, “Trust Him”, Jan Brenner’s brand new CD.
